Here's a great report about an Israeli lawsuit. I'm surprised this is the first time this guy(?)'s been taken to court.

(Anti-) Religious Persecution
I found out about persecution of atheists and anti-religion people through CHURCH AND STATE magazine. Here's the article:
Although I'm not an atheist, I certainly support their rights.
If you're interested in the campaign against (non-) religious persecution, you can see more information at:

Moore is better....
Someone once told me that filmmaker Michael Moore once said that Americans are "the dumbest people on earth." Ok, I agree, but why the urge to prove it all the time?

The Oxymoron that Wasn't (Jefferson too!)
Conservatives with integrity... oxymoronic? Many liberals think so, but it can happen. Here are two scholars at a conservative Xtian college putting out a book CORRECTING misinformation in ANOTHER conservative book. The mis-information conservative book is ironically titled "The Jefferson Lies." The correction is "Getting Jefferson Right."

Did Religion Do This?
Now, I'm not the biggest fan of religion, organized or otherwise, but if you've got something that can get a 91-year old guy in bed with "a young woman," I need to know where to sign up.

And PC is supposed to be LEFTIST?
So they say that PCdom is for Lefties who are easily offended by words like Negro and Oriental. Oh yeah? This is from THE PROGRESSIVE magazine.

Thomas Jefferson... No wonder he's banned
Awhile back I read that the notorious Texas board of education was purging Jefferson from the curriculum because he was the author of the famous "Wall of Separation between church and state" dictum. I figured he was a vague Christian with principles. Now I find out he was a UNITARIAN. The same branch of Christianity as Barry Lynn, the head of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. Maybe there's something to those Unitarians.

From my junkmail
If it's got a bank return address on it, it goes right into the shredder. But stuff from magazines, I at least open. This is from FREE INQUIRY, an included note from Richard Dawkins. Here's a great excerpt about religion.

Bad Christians, Good Muslims dept:
The same issue of The Smithsonian that talks about the success of Finnish Schools (big government, no religion, no private schools), talks about the changes taking place within Islam. While Christian fundamentalists are getting stronger-- and uglier, Muslims are getting LESS fundamental, and more accepting. Yeah! It's about time this stuff was written about! The problem is that it's too good, too truthful, for America. I bet the Smithsonian will be disciplined HARD in the near future.

Why It's Hopeless Reason #843
I guess everything goes back to PT Barnum's "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people." I should be used to it by now, but sometimes it still amazes me.

If I were Sara Palin...
If I were Sarah Palin... or at least a follower of her creative technique, I'd have a crosshairs view on all the pictures here. Others are free to download and do what they like.

Why Jesus? Why indeed?
Those of you who know me, know I'm not an atheist. The world is just too fucked up for there not to be some evil malevolence behind it all. I believe God is a 9 foot tall woman in a black leather bikini... with a whip.
Still, I have a certain admiration for the atheist groups and their war on religious stupidity.
I found this today, from the FREEDOM FROM RELIGION FOUNDATION.
If you have trouble seeing it, click on the image, or go to http://70.87.81.162/~seidbd/Graphics/whyJesus.jpg for a better view.
