This is from Mother Jones Magazine, I hope they won't object to me letting it have a slightly wider audience. It's one of the best I've read.

How conservatives Think
This article from CNN talks about Higher education spending vs prison spending, but the idea is the same. Like higher education costs, conservatives want to cut welfare... either directly or by doing something stupid like making welfare recipients pay for their own drug testing. So what happens? The citizens quit welfare, turn to crime, go to jail where the cost is $50,000 a year-- more than twice what welfare would have given them. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Google BAITS AND SWITCHES
For the past couple years I've been using PICASA, Google's photo sharing site. I pay $5 a year for extra storage. Now Google says the price increases... by 600%!! Before $5 a year... now $2.49--- a month!!!!
They get you hooked with their program, and then jack up the prices... OK, I've got some deleting to do to keep under the 1G FREE minimum. Until I find a new host, that is!

Bully for NCAC (on Bullying)
I'm glad to know I can count on my pals from the National Coalition Against Censorship to have the right point of view on the "Cyber Bully" stuff. Too many knee-jerk liberals support "harsh laws" without realizing that the laws are cut from the same fabric as anti-porn and anti-immigrant censorship laws.
Anyway, they say it almost as good as I could!

Facebook Falls on Its Face
Could it be that people remember MySpace? Or could it be the lack of privacy? How 'bout increased censorship? Do I say... Google Plus here we come?
